Drifting

Drifting is a driving technique that involves intentionally oversteering a vehicle, causing the rear wheels to lose traction while maintaining control through a turn. This manoeuvre allows the driver to maintain a higher speed around corners and is often characterized by the car’s rear end sliding out while the front wheels are steered in the opposite direction of the turn. Drifting is commonly associated with motorsport activities and is a popular motorsport discipline in itself, with competitions held to showcase drivers’ skill in performing controlled slides. The term can also refer to the act of moving slowly or aimlessly, often used metaphorically to describe losing focus or direction in life. In various contexts, drifting can symbolize freedom, adaptability, and a fluid approach to challenges.
