Handball

Handball is a fast-paced team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and one goalkeeper) compete to score goals by throwing a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular court, with a goal at each end and is typically played indoors, although outdoor variants exist. The objective is to outscore the opposing team within a specific time limit, usually two 30-minute halves.

Players advance the ball by dribbling or passing it to teammates, and they can shoot at the goal from various positions on the court. Defenders use strategies to block shots and intercept passes. Handball emphasizes teamwork, agility, speed, and strategic play, making it an exciting spectator sport.

The game originated in Europe and has grown in popularity worldwide, with various leagues and championships, including the Olympic Games and the World Handball Championships. The sport is governed internationally by the International Handball Federation (IHF).
