ультрамарафон

An “ультрамарафон” (ultramarathon) is a long-distance running event that exceeds the traditional marathon distance of 26.2 miles (42.195 kilometres). Ultramarathons can vary in distance, often starting from 50 kilometres (31 miles) and can extend to 100 miles (approximately 161 kilometres) or more, sometimes encompassing multi-day events. These races can take place on various terrains, including roads, trails, and mountains, and may include a mix of both. The emphasis in ultramarathons is not only on endurance but also on mental resilience, as the challenges presented by such extensive distances require significant preparation, strength, and stamina from the participants.
